Entrance exams to vocational schools on basis of general secondary education (9 years) held in Azerbaijan

Press secretary of the State Students Admission Commission Elnur Nagizadeh told APA that the entrance exams, which has begun today at 13.00, are held in 11 cities of the country – Baku, Sumgayit, Nakhchivan, Ganja, Lankaran, Mingechevir, Sheki, Shirvan, Agjabedi, Goychay and Khachmaz. The admission to 46 vocational schools on 635 specialties on the basis of 9-year secondary education is carried out for this academic year. 8449 of 9642 allocated plan places is related to the Azerbaijani sector, 312- Russian sector, 881 – joint contested places.

The exams will be held in 57 buildings. 31 250 applicants passed registration for participation in the entrance exam from 9-year base. 12 911 applicants give exam in Baku, 1956 – in Sumgayit, 1070 – in Nakhchivan, 4052 – in Ganja, 2102 – in Lankaran, 1273 – in Mingechevir, 1714 – in Sheki, 1632 – in Shirvan 850 – in Agjabedi, 1824 – in Goychay, 1867 – in Khachmaz.

The applicants will give exam on native language, Azerbaijani history and mathematics during one hour. The applicants of Russian sector will give exam on Russian and Azerbaijani languages. These applicants will be presented 5 questions from Azerbaijani language and 10 from Russian language.

The checking of the exam’s results will begin on September 1 owing to the holiday day. The results will be announced till September 3.
