In Holy Month of Ramadan, Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation launched an urgent international charity campaign of food aid for victims of severe feminine which affected Somalia. The main goal of the campaign is to coordinate the activity of many individuals, organizations and companies who aim to help those starving in Somalia, with particular emphasis to aid children. The donations will be collected in a centralized and transparent manner, the food packages will be delivered in person in cooperation with the trusted humanitarian Wakufs in Mogadishu and under supervision of ICYF-DC stuff in place.

Hundreds of people have come to the ICYF-DC office since the campaign started to join the campaign and make donations in cash, as well as via domestic and foreign banking transfers. Due to large number of donors and that some of them had no opportunity to come to the office, the organization established volunteer groups for work with the supporters of aid campaign.

Several public organizations collected the donations voluntarily and then transferred this money to the campaign’s bank account in cash or via transfers.

Within the framework of the campaign “Save the Children of Somali”, ICYF-DC organized charity Iftar dinners inviting the ambassadors of the countries-members of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation, members of the Azerbaijan National Committee of the Islamic Conference Young Businessmen Network and other citizens, who expressed willingness to support the charity campaign. The Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation thanks all citizens and organizations, who participated in this action, and invites those, who wish to make donations, to finish this work until August 27.
