22-43 percent of monthly precipitation falls in north-western and western regions of Azerbaijan

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. 43 percent of monthly precipitation fell in Balakan-Zagatala regions of Azerbaijan yesterday. 23 percent fell in Dashkesan, 22 percent â€“ in Gadabay. Short floods occurred in Talachay River as a result of heavy rains.

Official of the Hydro-meteorological forecast department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Gulshad Mammadova told APA precipitation in Balakan was 32 mm, Zagatala â€“ 26 mm, Terter â€“ 21 mm, Kishkand â€“ 20 mm, Gadabay â€“ 12 mm, Dashkesan and Tovuz â€“ 10 mm, Naftalan â€“ 9 mm, Barda â€“ 7 mm, Oguz â€“ 4 mm, Goytepe and Goygol â€“ 3 mm, Ganja, Shaki, Goychay â€“ 2 mm, Shamkir, Agstafa, Ismayilli, Guba, Yevlakh, Zardab, Kurdamir, Lankaran â€“ 0,009 mm.

Mammadov said rainy and thunderous weather will continue in the country in the next three days, heavy rains and hail in the mountainous areas at nights and early morning. The temperature will lower by 4-6 C, water level will rise in the rivers and short floods will occur in some mountainous rivers.

The level of Kur River rose 6 cm in Girag Kasaman, 14 cm â€“ in Yevlakh, 9 cm â€“ in Zardab, 7 cm â€“ in Surra, 10 cm â€“ in Shirvan.
