“Six stone box graves dating back the 14th century were found, such kind of graves has not been found during the archeological excavations in Azerbaijan. These graves were built with special bricks and stones, decorated with glazed tiles. They are mainly the graves of warriors. A headless skeleton was found in one and arrow heads and a skeleton were found in another grave,” he said.

Almammadov said Soviet historians did studies in these historical monuments. The remains found there were introduced as bath-house. But the excavations carried out there within the past month determined that they are graves.

Almammadov added that the monuments will be repaired. New archeological excavations will start near Sheykh Babi Yagub sepulcher.
