Japanese and Azerbaijani seismologists start cooperation

With this view manager of Shinyei Kaisha company of Japan Amano Ryo and expert of Oyo International, seismologist, doctor of sciences Takahashi Masakazu visited Azerbaijan. They visited Republic Seismological Service Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

Republic Seismological Service Center told APA that director general of the center, doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences Gurban Yetirmishli, assistant director general for scientific issues, PhD in Physics and Mathematics Ayaz Rzayev, chief of seismological and geodynamic studies department of the Republic Seismological Service Center, doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences Tahir Mammadli, chief of scientific relations department of the Republic Seismological Service Center Telman Jafarov, manager of Shinyei Kaisha company of Japan Amano Ryo, expert of Oyo International, seismologist, doctor of sciences Takahashi Masakazu and manager of Shinyei Kaisha company for CIS and Turkey, doctor of sciences Khagani Malikov attended the meeting.

Seismological studies in Azerbaijan and the present situation against the potential quakes, exchange of experience within the framework of technical cooperation were discussed during the meeting. Following the meeting, the guests familiarized with the work of the telemetry seismic station of the Republic Seismological Service Center.

Following this, the Japanese guests held meetings at the Ministry of Emergency Situations with vice-president of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, director of Geology Institute, academician Akif Alizadeh and assistant director for scientific issues, academician Ibrahim Guliyev. They also held a meeting at the Foreign Ministry.
