Azerbaijan determines criteria for extending tenure of education workers who reached 65

According to the order, the list of the education workers, who have reached 65, will be prepared and submitted. Proposals will be prepared concerning the extension of the tenure of the workers having special merits in the development of education, who have reached 65.

The order determined the criteria to extend the tenure of the workers, who have reached 65. The criteria includes non-application of administrative measures within the past year, scientific degree, state award, successful attestation (twice), winning the competition â€œThe best teacherâ€, impossibility to replace the worker, good health, prestige among the staff and in the society.

According to the order, taking into account the determined criteria, Baku Education Department, Ganja Education Department, regional (city) education departments are to solve the issues concerning the extension of the tenure of the workers, who have reached 65, and inform Education Ministry about the results. They will prepare the list of the education workers, who have reached 65, take measures to annul employment agreement, submit the lists and inform the Education Ministry about the results.

The training load of the education workers, with whom the employment agreement is annulled, will be distributed among other teachers.

Awareness-raising measures will be taken concerning the implementation of the law.
