II group applicants take examinations for entry to universities in Azerbaijan

The exams will take place in four cities of Azerbaijan – 35 in Baku, 2 in Nakhchivan, 6 in Ganja, 4 in Sheki.
193 teachers as leaders of the examination process have been involved in the examination attended by 1970 supervisors.
In 2011, 26,397 applicants have applied for participation in the examinations in the first group of specialties. Of those, 23,524 applicants applied to the Azerbaijani sector, 2873 entrants - to the Russian. 17,109 of the total number of applicants are boys, 9288 - the girls. 16,651 students are applicants of this year, 8882 students - applicants of previous years. 119 applicants are citizens of other states, 98 people are going to get a second degree in the II group of specialties and 766 entrants are applicants of secondary specialized educational institutions. The youngest entrant, who will participate in the exams for this specialty group, was born in 1996, and most adult - born in 1958.
In Baku the exams will be attended by 20,138 students, in Nakhchivan - 1062 graduates, in Ganja – 3464 entrants, in Sheki – 1728. The exam will begin at 11:00 and last 3 hours.
