Science Development Fund under Azerbaijani President announces results of the first contest in 2011

The decision to hold the first competition in the 2011 was announced on January 11, 2011, the time for receiving project was conducted from 12 January to 11 February. During this period, 184 projects were submitted and were registered at the Agency for Copyrights. During February 12 and June 12, 2011 was organized technical and scientific expertise work for these projects. 29 projects failed to pass the stage of technical expertise, 155 projects had been admitted to the scientific expertise.

Experts of the Science Development Fund and independent experts (by using assistance of local and foreign experts) were drawn into expertise work. In the same time, the list of projects eligible for the scientific expertise has been published on the Internet page and organized scientific debate as forum.

Each review, recommendations and summary information on each project prepared by executive management, permanent and independent experts of the Development Fund were discussed at meeting held on July 18, 2011. Were also discussed compiled on the number of points obtained a list of projects and funding allocated to projects time.

The winners of the first competition in 2011 were 82 projects. The list of supported (funding) Fund projects, funding and execution time of each project approved by the decision of the Science Development Fund, July 11, 2011.

The total amount of funding for winning projects in the first grant competition in 2011 6 600 000 AZN.

During the three months, Foundation of Science and won the competition-sponsored projects will be concluded agreements on the implementation of projects.
