IV group applicants take examinations for entry to universities in Azerbaijan

The exams will take place in four cities of Azerbaijan â€“ 21 in Baku, 3 in Nakhchivan, 3 in Ganja, 2 in Lankaran.

132 teachers as leaders of the examination process have been involved in the examination attended by 1290 supervisors..

In 2011, 14,619 applicants have applied for participation in the examinations in the first group of specialties. Of those, 13,525 applicants applied to the Azerbaijani sector, 1094 entrants - to the Russian. 7307 of the total number of applicants are men, 7312 - the girls. 8281 students are applicants of this year, 5882 students - applicants of previous years. 70 applicants are citizens of other states, 51 people are going to get a second degree in the IV group of specialties and 405 entrants are applicants of secondary specialized educational institutions. The youngest entrant, who will participate in the exams for this specialty group, was born in 1996, and most adult - born in 1958.

In Baku the exams will be attended by 10,804 students, in Nakhchivan - 1048 graduates, in Ganja - 1848 entrants, in Lankaran â€“ 919. The exam will begin at 11:00 and last 3 hours.

Immediately after the examination independent experts will conduct the assessment of test questions. Today at 19:00, during â€œAbituriyentâ€ TV program on Space TV channel, senior officials and experts from SSAC will comment on the correct answers and test tasks. Also, the correct answers of questions will be posted on website of the SSAC.

The applicants will be able to learn the results of the exams via â€œImtahancellâ€ service.
