New nomenclature of scientific specialties elaborated in Azerbaijan

According to him, the establishment of new nomenclatures of the scientific specialties is considered in the â€œNational Strategy on the Development of Scienceâ€. Saying that there was a point in the Plan of Measures which will taken on the strategy on the coordination of scientific specialties in Azerbaijan with UNESCOâ€™s specialties, Hashimov said the new nomenclature was coordinated with the specialties in Russia.

According to him, the new nomenclature of the scientific specialties was elaborated by Higher Attestation Committee under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the ANAS and the Education Ministry closely participated in this process: â€œCurrently this document is being considered in the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers. But this year we will not be able hold the admission to the doctorate with this nomenclature. This year the admission to the doctorate will be held according to the old nomenclaturesâ€.
