Azerbaijani youth delegation attends OIC Model Conference in Istanbul

ICYF told APA that the conference organized by Turkish Foreign Ministry, Sabanci University, Tuzla Municipality and Egyptian Center for Study of Cultures and Dialogue will last for a week.

According to Istanbul office of ICYF, Secretary General, Ambassador Elshad Iskandarov said Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, rector of Sabanci University Nihat Berker and representatives of a number of international organizations and diplomatic offices will attend the conference. Over 250 bachelorâ€™s degree and masterâ€™s degree students from 57 countries are attending the conference.
Elshad Iskandarov said that on the last day of the conference on July 16, the simulation game of OIC Foreign Ministersâ€™ Council will be held. The young persons representing OIC member states and participating in capacity of â€œforeign ministerâ€, â€œdeputy ministersâ€, â€œambassadorâ€ will discuss the problems of the Islamic world and international world and seek ways of solution.
â€œThe occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia, ways of solution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict and sanctions of OIC member states against the aggressor have been included into the agenda. The first OIC Model will help raise awareness concerning Azerbaijani peopleâ€™s just struggle.â€

Three winners will be determined due to the results of the conference. Five winners of the OIC Model simulation game organized by ICYF in Baku will represent Azerbaijan in the conference.
