First group applicants take examinations for entry to universities in Azerbaijan

248 teachers as leaders of the examination process have been involved in the examination attended by 2515 supervisors..

In 2011, 33,587 applicants have applied for participation in the examinations in the first group of specialties. Of those, 30,965 applicants applied to the Azerbaijani sector, 2622 entrants - to the Russian. 19,825 of the total number of applicants are men, 13,762 - the girls. 18,257 students are applicants of this year, 13 974 students - applicants of previous years. 128 applicants are citizens of other states, 127 people are going to get a second degree in the first group of specialties and 1229 entrants are applicants of secondary specialized educational institutions. The youngest entrant, who will participate in the exams for this specialty group, was born in 1996, and most adult - born in 1958.

In Baku the exams will be attended by 24,152 students, in Nakhchivan - 1327 graduates, in Ganja - 3891 entrants, in Sumgayit â€“ 4217. The exam will begin at 11:00 and last 3 hours.

Immediately after the examination independent experts will conduct the assessment of test questions. Today at 19:00, during â€œAbituriyentâ€ TV program on Space TV channel, senior officials and experts from SSAC will comment on the correct answers and test tasks. Also, the correct answers of questions will be posted on website of the SSAC.

The applicants will be able to learn the results of the exams via â€œImtahancellâ€ service.
