Azerbaijan hosts seminar on freedom and professionalism of media in South Caucasus and Moldova

Guba. Zaur Guliyev – APA. The 2-days seminar within the projects of “Promoting freedom, professionalism and pluralism of the media in the South Caucasus and Moldova” of Azerbaijani Press Council, the Council of Europe and the European Union, has kicked off in Guba.

APA reports that chairman of the Press Council Aflatun Amashov, Sector Chief of Socio-Political Department of Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Vugar Aliyev, ITV Broadcasting Council’s member Jahangir Mammadli, first deputy of Guba Region Executive Power Sahib Mammadov, representatives of Azerbaijani Interior, Economic Development, Ecology and Natural Resources, taxes, Education ministries, state committee for works with Refugees and IDPs, State Oil Company, State Social Protection Fund, as well as spokesman for the state bodies from Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Shabran, Siyezen and Khizi.

In his speech, chairman of Press Council Aflatun Amashov said that the main purpose of the training is to achieve the development of cooperation of media representatives with official organizations. The Dutch experts – David van der Huoven and Fred Gjibels will give information on several topics. The attendees will be also distributed the “Vocabulary of legal term for the journalists” prepared by the Press Council.
