Third group applicants take examinations for entry to universities

The exams will take place in four cities of Azerbaijan â€“ 41 in Baku, 3 in Nakhchivan, 6 in Ganja, 6 in Sumgayit. 247 teachers as leaders of the examination process have been involved in the examination attended by 2508 supervisors. 52 media representatives are watching the process.

In 2011, 32,869 applicants have applied for participation in the examinations in the third group of specialties. Of those, 29,529 applicants apply to the Azerbaijani sector, 3340 entrants - to the Russian. 9270 of the total number of applicants are men, 23 599 - the girls. 17 538 students are graduates of this year, 13,158 students - graduates of previous years. 149 applicants are citizens of other states, 198 people are going to get a second degree in the third group of specialties, 1975 entrants are graduates of secondary specialized educational institutions. The youngest entrant, who will participate in the exams for this specialty group, born in 1996, and most adult - born in 1939.

In Baku the exams will be attended by 23,326 students, in Nakhchivan - 1991 applicants, in Ganja - 3791 entrants, in Sumgayit â€“ 3761. The exam will begin at 11:00 and last 3 hours.

Immediately after the examination independent experts will conduct the assessment of test questions. Today at 19:00, during â€œAbituriyentâ€ transmission on Space channel, senior officials and experts from SCSA will comment on the correct answers and test tasks. Also, the correct answers of questions will be posted on website of the SSAC.

The applicants will be able to learn the results of the exams via Imtahancell service.
