Azerbaijan offers to sign international agreement on social protection of labor migrants

To him, it is expedient to sign interstate bilateral and even, multilateral agreements for it: â€œWe have proposed to International Association of Pension Funds and Insurance to make effort for preparation of agreements in direction of strengthening of social protection of labor migrants between different states and quickening of their signing. The organization must prepare a frame contract and submit it to the governments of different statesâ€.

Muslumov said that in connection with this issue, a working group would be established under the leadership of President of Moldovaâ€™s National Social Insurance Office Maria Borta, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan: â€œThe working group will prepare initial variant of the contract in a short time and submit it to pension and social insurance organizations of appropriate states. Thereafter, they will be submitted to the secretariat of the International Social Security Associationâ€.
