Misir Mardanov makes proposal to prepare joint resource on learning Azerbaijani history and geography in Georgia and Georgian history and geography in Azerbaijan

APA reports quoting the Education Ministryâ€™s website that Mardanov spoke about the friendship of Azerbaijani and Georgian peoples, relations between the two countries, development direction of current cooperation in education sphere.

He touched the elaboration of manuals in Azerbaijani language for Azerbaijani schools in Georgia, made a proposal on close participation of Azerbaijani experts on this work. At the same time, Mardanov expressed readiness on necessary help to overhaul construction work conducted in Azerbaijani schools in Georgia.

The minister recommended the guests to visit several education establishments, underlined importance of their close familiarization with our countryâ€™s education system.

In his turn, Shashkin spoke about friendly relations and efficient cooperation between the two countries and informed about the work conducted for the purpose of development of material and technical basis of Azerbaijani schools in Georgia. The guest noted the consideration of elaboration of manuals in Azerbaijani language for I-VI classes this year, VII-XI classes in the next academic year. He spoke about conditions established in his country for Azerbaijani graduates in order to get education in Georgian higher education establishments. Shashkin also informed about Georgiaâ€™s education system, reforms implemented on development of secondary education and the work conducted towards settlement of oncoming issues.

They exchanged view on the secure of information-communication technologies in Azerbaijani schools in Georgia, the organization of joint subject Olympiads in the future, the teaching Georgian language in our country, Azeri in Georgia and other issues.

Mardanov made a proposal on elaboration of joint resource on studying of Azerbaijani history and geography in Georgia and Georgian history and geography in Azerbaijan, the organization of facultative courses in the secondary schools.

In his turn the guest expressed readiness to take necessary steps on this issue and said that the commission would be established on it.
