Baku – APA. An extended meeting dedicated to prevention and opening of the crimes committed against property as well as state about implementation of the presidential decrees, orders and instructions was held today at the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), APA reports quoting MIA’s press service.

Interior Minister, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov noted that both issues, which are under discussion, are actual and cover the main areas of activity. According to the minister, over the past period of the current year, in conjunction with other law enforcement bodies, a success was achieved in ensuring public safety and combating crime, maintaining the positive trends of the previous years, and the criminal situation is completely under control.
Chief of the General Criminal Investigation Section, Police Major-General Emin Shekinski reported on the first issue of the agenda. He noted that over the past 3 years the collegial meetings had been held as well as the operational meetings on the prevention and disclosure of robberies and burglaries, thefts of the personal property, which are crimes against the property.
On the second issue of the agenda chief of MIA’s Secretariat, Police Major General Nazim Aliyev delivered a speech. N. Aliyev stressed that, in 2008-2010 and over the past period of the current year, MIA administration had received more than 550 people both from the capital and the regions, had reviewed nearly 9.000 applications received via hotline and e-mail, all complaints and allegations had been brought under control, most of them resolved favorably, and the citizens had been given detailed written responses.
Then the discussions on both issues started.
