Azerbaijani delegation led by Kemaleddin Heydarov pays official visit to Latvia

APA reports with reference to the MES website that the delegation led by Mrs. Lynda Murniece and the delegation of the Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Emergency Situations held a large meeting.

The delegations discussed the issues of cooperation between the relevant organizations of both countries on the prevention of emergency situations and elimination of its results. They also discussed the fulfillment of the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Latvia on the prevention and elimination of the emergency situations signed in Riga on January 17, 2011.

Latvian President Valdis Zatlers met with Kemaleddin Heydarov. The dynamic development of relations between the countries and necessity of effective use of existing potential were emphasized at the meeting.

Heydarov also met with Latvian Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis. They exchanged views on the development of current relations between the relevant organizations of Azerbaijan and Latvia, prospects of cooperation and the issues causing mutual interest.
