Pensions of non-working scientists to be increased in Azerbaijan

The projects notes that basic part of pensions of persons having 25 years of experience in research and educational institutions, having a degree, but not working, will be increased to AZN 200 for a doctorate and AZN 120 to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.

To him, at present, 4500 candidates of science and 1460 doctors of science work at state-financed research institutions: â€œEach of pension cases will be approach personally. The second condition is that it will concern to people who do not workâ€.

Muslumov noted that 10 mln additional funds are needed for it within a year.

He said that big works were done in the struggle against corruption. Moreover he added that materials of inspections conducted in Surakhani district department have been sent to the Republican Prosecutorâ€™s office. Information on negative cases revealed during these inspections was presented to prosecutor organs.

The most complaints are related to late preparation of plastic cards and postponements of pensions. At present, works are carried out in connection with presentation of plastic cards directly via banks.
