Seminar held in Baku on struggle against discrimination on employment and labor sphere

Baku - APA-Economics. Seminar devoted to preparation of plan on struggle against discrimination in employment and labor sphere in cooperation with Program on propaganda of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and Bureau on Gender has kicked off at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan.

Ministry says the event has been organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, ILOâ€™s Technical Support Group for Decent Labor and ILOâ€™s Office on Eastern Europe and Central Asian countries.

Main purpose of event attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, ILO, Trade Union Confederation of Azerbaijan, Trade Union Federation of Agriculture and Food Industry and other related bodies, is to prepare appropriate action plan which will help the effective fulfillment of behaviour principle against discrimination at work place for ILO partners.

Within the framework of the 2-day seminar, equality at work, long-term difficulty, principles of inadmissibility in national legislation and existing situation, gender aspect of transition to decent labor from education in Azerbaijan and etc will be discussed.

Survey report is considered to prepare at the end of the event.
