Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. Paperwork is about to end for purchasing technical equipment needed for installation of underwater seismic stations in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, director of Republic Seismological Service Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Gurban Yetirmishli told APA. He said the technical equipment for installation of the underwater seismic stations is produced by the US-based Kinemetrics company. Director of the center said other seismic stations in Azerbaijan are also operating on the technical equipment produced by this company.
Seismic stations will be first of all installed near Umid, Guneshli and Shahdeniz fields. Totally, 10 underwater seismic stations will be installed in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
