The advisor said that though there are protocols on education between Turkey and Azerbaijan, the work is conducted on new agreements: “We work for the similarity of education programs, specialties between Turkey and Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan joined the Bologna process. Turkey has been using the same system for years. The joint work will be conducted in this direction. We work for that the students don’t face with problems in choosing specialties in Azerbaijan or Turkey. We say “union in opinion, language”, one need to fulfill it. The education can be only way for the fulfillment of this union. If the student studying here and the student in Turkey educate on the same specialty, then we will have an agreement of opinion. There is serious work in this direction”.

Koyuncuoglu said that 1500 students were sent from Azerbaijan to Turkey last year. Turkish side pays the tuition fee of 150 students. 4000 students from Turkey are studying in Azerbaijani higher education establishments, about 2000 pupils are studying in Turkish lyceums.
