Pilot security project in the school

Baku â€“ APA. The Ministry of Emergency Situations carried out first pilot security project in the secondary school No. 190 after Osman Mirzayev in Sabayel District of Baku to form the security environment in the school.

According to APA, the Ministry of Emergency Situations instantly replied the request of the school No. 190 pedagogical council to provide security and to hold educational work among the pupils and showed comprehensive assistance to the school staff in this field. First of all, useful methods for training the schoolchildren for the emergency situations and preparing them spiritually and psychologically, as well as providing them with knowledge to provide security of own lives were focused within the project.

The school was supplied with fire-extinguishers and wooden constructions of the schoolâ€™s garret were absorbed with fireproof substances. Domestic fire-extinguishing water plugs were repaired and united to the common water line. The evacuation plan was prepared and submitted to the school administration for organizing the evacuation of the people and valuable things. Fire-warning signalization was installed in 751 square meters of the schoolâ€™s territory.

The Ministry established a special corner for emergency education in the school. The contests were held among the children to improve their knowledge about the emergency situations. Security of the population during the emergency situations, protection of property and resources, prevention of the accidents, rescue operations conducted by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and attitude to the security issues were described in the works created by the children.

The school teams demonstrated their knowledge and physical trainings in the contest of young rescuers and firefighters. The children used boom and special fence presented by the ministry in the combined firefighting race. The young experts answered the questions about the security of life and young artists painted their emergency thoughts and fantasies on paper. The results of the competitions and contests were valued by jury established by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES). Peopleâ€™s artist Nazim Baykishiyev valued the pictures painted by the children.

The project was finished with the opening ceremony of the emergency corner in the school, and contests awarding ceremony. The units â€œTechnogenic emergency situationsâ€, â€œMES regional centersâ€™ location mapsâ€, â€œLearning of dangers for securityâ€, â€œRescue and other emergent operations and first medical aid during the emergency situationsâ€, â€œMethods of protection an breath-protection during the emergency situationsâ€, â€œFire securityâ€ attracted the interest of the school staff and children.

The schoolâ€™s principal Afat Bakikhanova, head teacher Ganira Amircanova thanked the Ministry of Emergency Situations for its attention and care and for first project they carried out in the school.

The winners of the competitions and contests were awarded with the ministryâ€™s Cup, valuable presents and certificates of honor. The ministry presented to the school the book â€œHelp yourself and othersâ€.
