Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. “Armenia violates human values and international laws by refusing to release Azerbaijani children taken hostage during the military operations,” chairperson of “Hesret Yolu” Public Union for Assistance to Captives and Hostages Esmira Orujova told APA. Orujova said 168 (65 little girls) of the children taken hostage during the military operations carried out by Armenia against Azerbaijan had been released as a result of the activity of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons. Orujova said 21 Azerbaijanis taken hostage as a child were still held in Armenia and the occupied Nagorno Karabakh.
“The children held hostage underwent various tortures. The organs of their bodies were extracted and sold. Humerus of 3-year-old Shovgi Khagani Aliyev was extracted by Armenian doctors in Khankendi, as a result of Shovgi became handicapped. Armenian doctor Aida Serobian gave various injections to Arzu Hajiyev, the newly-born son of Guljamal Guliyeva, who was taken hostage during the occupation of Kalbajar. 15-year-old Nazakat Mammadova’s father underwent tortures before her eyes, his ears were cut off, her mother could not bear it and ran mad, the girl was sold to her family for 4 million rubles,” he said.
Esmira Orujova said there were hundreds of such facts and called on the international organizations and big states to pay attention to the problem.
“June 1 is the International Children’s Day. We would like the international organizations introducing themselves as humanist organizations protecting the human rights to demonstrate will to release the Azerbaijani children held hostage in Armenia,” she said.
