Huseyngulu Bagirov makes main report in Sofia

Sofia â€“ APA. The 12th meeting of the UN Secretary-General’s Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation (UNSGAB) was held in Sofia, Bulgaria. Ministerial conference on "Water Supply and Sanitation of Small Population Centres in the Countries in the Black Sea Region" was held within the framework of the 12th meeting of UNSGAB. Press service of Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry told APA that ongoing processes, rapid economic development, work done in ecological sphere, water supply and sanitation in the population centres in Azerbaijan were also discussed at the conference.

Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Huseyngulu Bagirov made a main report at the conference. The report covered the activities recently carried out in the country to ensure environmental sanitation and ecological security, improve drinkable water supply of the population, projects implemented to protect the Caspian Sea from pollution.

Following the conference, Huseyngulu Bagirov met with Bulgarian Minister of Environment and Water and Regional Development and Public Works Minister. They discussed cooperation and prospects of cooperation in the related spheres between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
