Events Supervisor of the Contest Sietse Bakker said 1600 journalists from 43 countries would be accredited to cover the contest this year. American, South African, Middle East and Australian media will also have live coverage opportunities. “We expect approximately 1,600 journalists to come here for the Eurovision Song Contest. This will be the first time so many journalists from so many countries travel to Azerbaijan for such a big event. This is a challenge, of course."
