The heads of Azerbaijan’s religious denominations have issued a statement on September 27 – Remembrance Day, APA reports.
The statement noted that the Patriotic War, which began on September 27, 2020, ended with the glorious victory of the Azerbaijani Army.
It was stated that this date has been forever engraved in the history of the Azerbaijani people.
At the end of the statement, the heads of religious denominations noted that their main goal is to recall the lessons of history in order to prevent wars, loss of human life, acts of terrorism, and conflicts in the future.
The signatories of the statement include Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims’ Office Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Religious Community of Mountain Jews in Baku Milikh Yevdayev, Bishop Alexy of the Azerbaijan Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, Chairman of the Alban-Udi Christian Community Robert Mobili, Vicar General of the Apostolic Prefecture of the Catholic Church in Azerbaijan Jozef Marek, Chairman of the Baku Religious Community of Sephardic Jews Zamir Isayev, and Eugene Brenneysen, Deputy Chair of Baku Religious Community of European Jews.
