This is a project strengthening friendship, fraternity and economic ties. This is a project reviving historical Silk Road, said the Turkish Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communication Lutfi Elvan at the international conference titled “The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway – new opportunities for development of the historical Great Silk Road”
“There were two main shortages in the line from London to Beijing. One of them was to cross Marmara Sea in Turkey and the other was Baku-Tbilisi-Kars. We implemented Marmaray project. Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will be completed next year. This project will connect Europe and Asia”.
