State Fund for Development of Information Technologies Supervisory Board holds first meeting

Baku. Aynur Aliyeva – APA-Economics. Supervisory Board of the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has today held its first meeting.

Delivering keynote speech at the meeting, ICT Minister Ali Abbasov said that specialized funds had positive impact on development of entrepreneurship and private sector in the country.

Deputy ICT Minister Elmir Valizadeh noted that 3 documents were put up for discussion during the meeting. This is the project comprising the contract format on terms of use of fund’s means between the Fund and banks, selection criteria for lending institution authorized by the Fund, rules on organization and holding of grant competition of the Fund.

It was recommended to develop final opinion of members to ratify the documents. Decision was made on holding of next meeting of the supervision board to consider the documents.

Moreover, in order to coordinate activity of supervision board, it was decided to elect a secretary for the supervision board. Authorities of the secretary have been entrusted to Rauf Jabbarov, who is an advisor of ICT ministry’s planning, investment and scientific potential department.

At the end of the meeting, Fund’s CEO Elchin Zeynalov informed the participants about future plans.
