The company has suspended acceptance of the external employees since that period. The reforms covered 7,222 employees of the company. 6,418 (89%) of them have already been provided with jobs, said the SOCAR Vice-President Khalik Mammadov.
According to him, this was conducted as a result of structural changes at Geophysics and Geology, Oil Pipelines, Social Development, Gas Export Departments, Complex Drilling Works Trust and Azneft PU: “533 persons transferred to other spheres having received compensation 5 times as much as their salary. 108 persons joined the employment program for the workers dismissed a result of abolition of these enterprises. 163 persons refused joining the program. 108 persons who joined the program will receive 50% of their salaries and get a second profession”.
Mammadov added that a contest will be announced on 43 vacancies. 64 persons applied for these vacancies. Totally, there are 3,098 vacancies at SOCAR. Total number of employees is 60,077.
Most of the laid off employees (70-80%) were administrative managers. Social employees were cut by 60%.
