Road subsides in Khatai district

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. A subsidence occurred on the road in the intersection of Babek Avenue with Telnov street, Khatai district, said the head of press service of Azeryolservis OJSC Punhan Mursaliyev.

According to him, that part of the road has temporarily been filled by the OJSC’s relevant enterprise with necessary materials.

“The road has been filled with necessary materials. However, the employees of the body could not conduct research due to bad weather. To conduct research, that place should be drilled. A while ago, there was a problem in the communication lines. Nearly 7 pipes have been evacuated. According to researches, the waterfall has washed away foundations or the pipes have not been tightened correctly. Of course, incorrecet tightening will cause subsidence”, Mursaliyev said.

He noted that though that area has been filled with the necessary materials, a subsidence is observed today too: “Of course, relevant maintenance facility has control over that area. No threat can appear there. However, we will drill that area and eliminate the problem as long as the weather normalizes. Thereafter, the road will be asphalted”.

Though the subsidence caused traffic jam, it was eliminated.
