Baku. Aynur Aliyeva – APA-Economics. From 2002 till the end of 20152, the number of cars rose 2.4 times, Technical adviser at the Main State Police Office Sulhaddin Gozalov told APA-Economics.
To him, at present, there are 1.2 mln cars in the republic and 800,000 cars in Baku: ‘This figure was 500,000 in 2002. More than 50% of these cars are old’.
Speaking about growth dynamics of transport part, Gozalov said that development dynamics of infrastructure can not keep up with this growth rate: ‘Elimination of this problem requires considerable time’.
