Baku. AqÅŸin RafiqoÄŸlu - APA-Economics. It’s joyful that trade and customs issues are being discussed in Baku, Professor of Economics at New York University, Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences Thomas J. Sargent told journalists.
He noted that customs policies will also be discussed at this event: “I’m interested in these issues and therefore attending this event”.
T. J. Sargent noted that the economists mainly focus on three points: “These are open borders, free trade and international competition. These are the factors supporting trade and customs facilitation and improvement”.
The Nobel laureate said he visited Baku for the first time: “I’m amazed your city. Before, I followed internet and acquired information about Baku. Now, I see the city and feel different impression”.
