Baku. Aynur Aliyeva - APA-Economics. “Monitoring of hotels has started in Azerbaijan ahead of summer tourism season. The relevant activities are being carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism,” chief of the Ministry’s tourism department Aydin Ismiyev said at the press conference on the opening of the 13th Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair and 8th Caucasus International Hospitality Fair "All for Hotels, Restaurants and Supermarkets”.
Department chief said the monitorings started in the capital. The inspections will be continued in the hotels in Baku for a week or two.
“The monitoring of the hotels in the regions will be started late in May," he said.
Ismiyev also touched on the state of tourism in the regions.
He admitted that the level of tourism services is not on the desired level.
“Trainings are held to eliminate the problems. All means are used to develop tourism in the country," Ismiyev said.
