KOICA dispatches an expert group to MCHT

Baku – APA-Economics. The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) dispatched experts within the framework of the Project “Establishment of Education Center for E-Government in Azerbaijan”.

 

The Korean experts dispatched to the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be engaged in equipment installation during July 5 – 27, 2014, in equipment inspection on August 2-17, 2014.

 

The objective of the dispatch is to install all IT equipment necessary for the establishment of Baku Training Center, to maintain stability through knowledge and technology transfer for smooth operation, to train local specialists in charge of local training centers.

 

Afterwards the Korean experts will inspect overall status of equipment installation done by 15 local training centers, install firewalls, check networks with Baku training center and remote real-time lecture service.

 

The Grant Arrangement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the Establishment of Education Center for E-Government in Azerbaijan was signed on April 18, 2013, by Mr. Choi Suk Inn, the Korean Ambassador to Azerbaijan and Mr. Ali Abbasov, the Minister of Communications and Information Technologies.

 

The 3-year grant project with the budget of USD 3,700,000 is conducted by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and aimed at establishing the electronic Education Information System, supporting the establishment of central and regional e-government education center, supplying information technology equipment, contributing to the ICT capacity building of Azerbaijani government officials, promoting ICT and e-government competencies by sharing the know-how of Korean technology and development experience.
