First grant competition of Azerbaijan IT Development Fund to start on April 2

Baku. Aynur Aliyeva - APA-Economics. Information session is being held in Baku on the rules for presentation of projects as a part of the 1st grant project declared by IT Development Fund under the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies, APA-Economics reports.

Small and medium-size enterprises experienced in ICT are taking part in the event. The main goal of the session is to give recommendations to entrepreneurs regarding the presentation of projects.

Director of the High Technologies Park Seymur Agayev told journalists that the projects for the first grant competition will be received from April 2 to May 2.

“The Statute of the State Fund for IT Development was confirmed by the Head of State last year. We have completed all organizational issues. Currently, we are taking measures to support entrepreneurship in the field of ICT. The Fund has declared a competition for grant financing. Entrepreneurs experienced in ICT and young people wishing to realize ICT projects will be given information about the rules of the completion, relevant questions will be answered,” Agayev said.

There are three types of grants. Small grants is AZN 100 000, medium AZN 200 000 and big grants AZN 300 000.
