Baku – APA-Economics. Russian Railways OJSC plans to build and electrify the railway from Iran to Azerbaijan and further to Russia, said the chairman of the State Duma Committee (lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia) on transport Evgeniy Moskvichev, RIA Novosti reported.
“We have had a full understanding of bilateral relations over the past three to five years and memoranda on rail, aviation and maritime communications have been prepared, and I think that they will be signed since early July of 2015” said Moskvichev.
He said that Iran and Russia have a number of minor problems in the transport sector.
According to Moskvichev, the "green card" system (analogous to CTP) has not yet been fully launched in Iran - Iranian drivers can take CTP in Russia for a year, while the Russian drivers in Iran for only 15 days.
