Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. By the end of 2012, domestic investments to Azerbaijan’s ICT sphere will make AZN 300 mln. Chief of staff at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Vidadi Zeynalov says in 2011, domestic investments in Azerbaijan’s ICT sector made AZN 415 mln and main part of it fell to share of private companies.
‘In January-September, 2012, AZN 218 mln was invested in ICT sphere, this figure is expected to reach AZN 300 mln by the end of 2012’, added Zeynalov.
To him, state investments in ICT sphere were especially directed to building of artificial satellite: ‘By the year-end, a new administrative building will be constructed for Azerkosmos OJSC in Baku. At the same time, rocket, which will be launched into the orbit, is expected to prepare completely and bring it to flight line’.
