Baku. Aynur Aliyeva – APA-Economics. On March 28-30, Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and High Technologies Ali Abbasov attended opening session of the World Telecommunication Development conference in Dubai, UAE. The Ministry told APA-Economics that the event has been devoted to broadband internet and telecommunication services.
Abbasov gave information about works carried out in this sphere in the country, as well as regional projects. Speaking about TASIM and EPEG projects, the minister touched upon development of the ICT in the education.
The event was attended by ministers and nearly 2,000 representatives from 36 countries.
The conference will last till April 10 and a statement will be adopted.
Abbasov met with his counterparts from Iran, Poland, Egypt and Uganda and ITU Secretary-General and Under Secretary-General, officials of the companies on telecommunication.
