He said restructuring of railroads was started with the overhaul of Baku-Boyuk Kesik railway.
"About 30 million tonnes of goods are transported in this direction, 80% of them are transported in Baku-Georgia direction. Therefore, first of all we plan overhauk of the roads in this direction," he said.
Nazirov said 1006km road in the direction of Baku-Boyuk Kesik needed repairing.
"95km part of this road was overhauled at the expenses of the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction in 2010. 317km part of the road was overhauled at the expenses of the World Bank last year. 593km part of the road needs repairing. The overhaul of the roads in this direction will be completed by the end of 2018," he said.
He said the service life of the roads expired, this causes accidents on the railroads.
"The railroads in the North direction need repairing. More than half of 250km road needs repairing in this direction. We plan to overhaul them at our own expenses. The repairs in the North direction will be continued, after overhaul of Baku-Boyuk Kesik railway is completed," he said.
