Azerbaijan to allocate $6 bln to communal infrastructure projects

Baku. Ali Ahmedov – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan will allocate AZN 4.8 bln ($6 bln) to communal infrastructure projects next year that it will be spent to gasifying of cities and regions, water supply, canalization, heating lines and boiling rooms of the cities and regions will be reconstructed, said the Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev.

He says AZN 1.5 bln will be allocated to water reserves and irrigation projects and construction of Tovuzchay, Takhtakorpu water reservoirs, Samur-Absheron water canal will be completed: “construction of first stage of Upper Mil canal was completed in current year, and second stage will be constructed next year”.

Mustafayev also noted that total worth of energy and industry projects would make AZN 5.7 bln.
