Baku. Aynur Aliyeva - APA-Economics. Azerbaijan and Turkey have signed a protocol on construction of Nakhchivan-Kars railway, Deputy Minister of Transport Musa Panahov told journalists.
He noted that currently, Turkish specialists are carrying out design works to merge railways from Kars to Nakhchivan.
Panahov added that local engineers are also participating in these works: “A big great part of Kars-Nakhchivan railway passes through Turkey. Approximately new 13 km-construction works will be carried out in Nakhchivan. At the same time, 160 km-part of railways needs reconstruction in Nakhchivan. Details will be submitted to the government after development of the project”.
