According to him, Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover also decreased by 20%: “At the same time, import of car metal constructions and black metal products also declined”.
However, noting regulation of the market, the Chairman said he regrets the talks about application of Euro-4 standard: “Some think that if the car is new, it meets the standard. This is not true approach. We carry out control at the checkpoints jointly with the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Paten and Customs Examination Service. The cars which meet the standard are imported to the country”.
