“We have been told that the test train will be launched by the Turkish border at the end of this year, the railway will be opened from the second half of 2015,” he said.
Minister said Azerbaijan-Georgia bilateral meeting on Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project was held in Baku, where implementation of the project was discussed.
“We have discussed a new budget for this year. We have exchanged views on the entire work. The implementation of the project is underway in line with the plan,” he said.
Ziya Mammadov added that works are underway in Turkey.
“Our major problem was connected with the construction of 400-meter tunnel on Turkey-Georgia border. This work is also going on. Much has been done. Turkey plans to complete the work by summer, 2015, next year the transport is expected to be in full operation,” he said.
