“The project will be launched in time. Test train will be launched at the end of 2014, in 2015 the project will be completed,” he said.
According to the Minister, the work done was discussed and the problems were solved at the meeting of the Coordination Council in Baku,
“This project is of strategic importance for Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey. I think this project will attract additional shipments and strengthen neighbourhood, friendship and commercial ties among our countries,” he said.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili added that Central Asian countries and China are interested in the project.
“I am sure that Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project will be promising. The decision to construct this railway was wise, it will develop the cooperation among Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. Georgia will do it best to complete the work in time,” he said.
