Baku International Sea Trade Port Complex has caused interest of the neighboring and other foreign countries. Kazakhstan has appealed for delivery of 20 million tones of cargo. Turkey and UAE (Dubai) are also interested in the delivery of cargo through the port.
Azerbaijan owns the biggest ferryboat terminal in the Caspian Sea, it covers 400ha area. Four freight bridges, bridge for receiving Ro-Ro ships, storehouses, railway and motor roads are being built. The length of the bridges will be 650 meters. 40 000 containers are planned for the first stage. Moreover, 10 million tonnes of cargo will be delivered in this stage.
