Passenger transportation by air transport sharply increases in Azerbaijan

In January-August of this year, 687,2 thousand or 39,9% more in annual comparison passengers were transported by air transport in Azerbaijan, the State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.

99,3% of transportations was carried out by the state sector, 0,7% by the private sector in the country.

According to the information, during the reporting period, cargo transportation by the mentioned type of transport increased by 15,1% and made up 318,9 thousand tones.
