Italian CMC Co. intends to take part in the projects in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Italy’s CMC Co. Intends to cooperate with Azerbaijani companies, AzPromo told APA-Economics.

CMC is the 6^th biggest construction company of Italy. CMC was founded in Ravenna in 1901 by a group of 35 masons. In 1909 the Company merged with the "Cementisti" (Cement Workers Company): since then "Muratori" (Masons) and "Cementisti" (Cement Workers) have been marking CMC logotype. In 1975 CMC began permanently operating overseas with the award of a project in Iran.

CMC intends to cooperate with Azerbaijan in transport infrastructure (road, rail, metro, tunnels, bridges, etc.), energy projects (HPPs), water management facilities (reservoirs, tunnels, large-scale systems for wastewater treatment), as well as construction infrastructures such as coastal protection and harbor works.

In case if Azerbaijani companies show interest, representatives of CMC are ready to visit Azerbaijan and discuss cooperation opportunities with relevant state bodies.
