Baku. Nijat Mustafayey – APA-Economics. 47 million cargo and 216.3 million passengers were transported via Silk Way corridor (TRACECA) in Azerbaijan in January-October, 2012.
State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that in comparison to 2011, the cargo transportation via this corridor increased 5.3%, passenger transportation jumped 7.9% in the reporting period.
44.2% of cargo transportation fell to share of motor transport, 37.6% to the railway transport, 18.2% - sea transport, said the Committee.
AZN 355.8 million got from the cargo transportation, AZN 68 million from the passenger transportation and in comparison to 2011 it grew by 18.1% and 9.4%.
