Azerbaijan increases state duties for vehicle inspection

Baku. Mubariz Aslanov - APA. The amendments in Draft Law on State duties was put up for discussion at the meeting of Economic Policy Committee of the Parliament, said the chairman of committee Ziyad Samadzadeh.

According to amendments, the state tax for annual vehicle inspection is offered to rise to AZ 20 from AZN 10. The duties for motor transport vehicles, tractors, mechanical vehicles for construction, forestry and agriculture and other works, technological, sport and other mechanical transport, trailers and semi-trailers will be increased to AZN 10 from AZN 5. Duty for vehicle inspection under the requirement of vehicle purchaser or during the amendments in technical performances will be raised to AZN 20 from AZN 10.

Along with this, some duties for obtaining driving license or renewing driving license are offered to increase. So, the duty for obtaining driving license will be increased to AZN 18 from AZN 15. According to annex in the law, duty for obtaining of renewing the driving license to control the mechanical vehicles for construction, forestry and agriculture and other works, technological, sport and other mechanical transport, trailers and semi-trailers will make AZN 5.

After discussions, the project was recommended to plenary meeting of Milli Majlis.
